Warwickshire Police continue bid to stop the Bulldog Bash

Police chiefs insist they will continue efforts to ban the Bulldog Bash biker festival – despite the fact that this year’s event passed off peacefully.

Warwickshire police mounted an operation involving 450 officers at the music and motorcycle festival at Long Marston, near Stratford-upon-Avon, last month. The force said officers made 11 arrests among 23,000 visitors, searched 448 people and seized nine lock-knives.

Police had labelled the event, organised by the Hells Angels, as a fundraiser for an organised crime group, an allegation that the group strenuously deny.
