Peace breaks out in German biker war - VIDEO 0.53 min

Two rival gangs in the German city of Hannover have agreed to end their long-running and often violent feud. The Hells Angels and the Bandidos had been involved in peace talks for months. Explaining the terms of the truce, one Hells Angel said:

“Both parties have agreed that the Hells Angels won’t go into Bandidos territory and vice-versa. Also both clubs will not admit existing or former members of the other club.”

The gangs are often accused of having links to drugs and arms dealing, robbery, money laundering and prostitution rings. They could face a nationwide ban when state interior ministers meet today to discuss the matter.

Police unions have dismissed the peace deal as a stunt to avoid legal sanctions and cover up their involvement in violent organised crime.
