Hundreds expected to attend funeral for Outlaws member. video

- Police in York County, Maine will be on high alert this weekend when hundreds of bikers are expected to ride in to remember a fellow member of the Outlaws motorcycle gang. 58-year-old Thomas Maybe of Old Orchard Beach was gunned down after he fired at ATF agents who were attempting to arrest him in connection with a major criminal investigation.

Dayton, Maine is mostly quiet farm country, but down Hollis Road sits the clubhouse for the Outlaws motorcycle gang. This Saturday afternoon, up to 3,000 bikers are expected to ride in to memorialize the gang's former regional treasurer and enforcer 58-year-old Thomas Mayne.

Given the circumstances surrounding Mayne's death, the Sheriff's Department will be monitoring the gang's memorial plans carefully.

Mayne was killed inside his home as ATF agents were attempting to arrest him and search the home. They said he fired first, and they retaliated.

Mayne was wanted in connection with the near fatal shooting of a Hell's Angels biker in Canaan back in 2009.
