Waikato Hospital wants gang patch ban

Gang members vandalised a toilet at Waikato Hosptal last week, prompting hospital bosses to demand gang patches be kept away from the hospital.

A gang leader has agreed to pay for the damage but Health Waikato chief operating officer Jan Adams said she wanted gang patches "off this site".

"They have no place in a public hospital and this is just totally unacceptable. It took the best part of a day to scrub this graffiti off the walls, the toilet was damaged, too."

Mongrel Mob members were suspected of creating the graffiti and damaging the seat in a ward five public toilet on Monday night.
