The Black Power members walked through the square, stopping for several minutes to greet each other and talk, before departing by 12.35pm, leaving around 150 people remaining in the square.
Around 15-20 police officers were present, but there were no arrests.
Black Power member and rally organiser Denis O'Reilly said they were not there to cause trouble, just to defend their civil rights.
