Black Power at Waitangi celebration

More pictures, Page 8About a dozen Black Power Taranaki members celebrated Waitangi Day at Paepae in the Park at Patea, dressed in full colours and wearing their patches.

The gang members enjoyed the day along with the more than 500-strong crowd.

A small police presence was at the celebrations but there were no problems and no hint of any problems.

The day was peaceful and happy one for all.

Big ups to you," yelled the MC "This is our special day, this is magic ... loving it , loving you all."
