New anti-association laws questioned by disparate groups

New anti-association laws proposed by the State Government have been described as draconian and a direct threat to civil liberties.
They are being picked apart by unions, criminologists and the legal fraternity with members of the state's most notorious bikie clubs also rallying against the changes.
If approved, the tough new laws would give police the power to ban people from associating with certain groups, as part of a State Government push to target organised crime.
