Suspect Not in Outlaws

Sheriff Grady Judd was recently quoted in a shooting article on The Ledger.com regarding the person charged with the shooting [first-degree murder and armed burglary], Joey Midgett.
In the article ["Lakeland Man Was Killed Over Sex Tape, Sheriff Says," Dec. 31, www.theledger.com/article/20091231/NEWS/912319984], the Polk County sheriff stated that Midgett was a member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Gang. He further stated that Midgett is a "documented member" of the Outlaws.
As the attorney for the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, I feel compelled to bring the citizens of Polk County the truth, not the fallacies that Sheriff Judd pollutes the people with through the media.
The Outlaws are a motorcycle club and not a gang. In his own mind, the sheriff categorizes this motorcycle club as a gang. Joey Midgett, has never been a member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. The sheriff jumped to this conclusion because Midgett has a tattoo that reads "Support Your Local Outlaws."

Supporting the Outlaws does not equate with being a patched member of the club.
