It was during the latter half of the 1940's, WWII had ended and young men had returned home to Southern California. With the surplus of military motorcycles available at that time, some of them started riding motorcycles, which were an affordable means of transportation. These same men started getting together, all had a very common background of being recent veterans, finding life somewhat less exciting and adventuresome than it had been during the war years.
